While I was working on the engine, I discovered a raw water pump leak. Over the next week, I did not put the boat in the water due to the wind and storms and bad health but cranked it multiple times over several days and it started up every time after just barely turning over and ran smooth at idle. So I took the tester off and hooked up the spark plug wire and before the engine turned over a couple of times, it started. ![]() Just cranked it over a couple of times(enough to see the lights flash) and then the engine hit. Then I remembered that I had a spark tester in the truck and dug it out and put it on a plug. In an effort to get on the water, I put the original points back in and set them, put the condenser and rotor back in and the engine still did not start. NAPA had to order the rotor and points from the warehouse but the condenser had to come from Tennessee and took about 5 days. I took the points and condenser out as I thought they would be readily available. ![]() I will check it again when I get back to Kitty Hawk.
